Planting guide
Plant in well-drained soil in spring or early autumn. Add organic matter to improve fertility. Water regularly while establishing, and mulch annually. Pinch out faded stems to encourage more blooms.
Care tips
Cut flower stems at the base (don’t just snip them) to promote more flowering. Feed monthly during the growing season with a balanced fertiliser. Protect roots with mulch and lift for division every few years.
Winter care
Mulch heavily in late autumn to protect roots, especially in colder regions. Established plants are very hardy but young ones may need a bit of extra shelter in their first year.
