Planting guide

Space plants 40–50cm apart in well-drained soil. Water well after planting and during dry spells until established.

Care tips

Plant in well-drained soil in a sunny position. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to extend the blooming season. Cut back lightly in early spring to encourage fresh, bushy growth. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring for best results.

Winter care

Salvia 'Nachtvlinder' is half-hardy and may need protection from frost in colder regions. Apply a layer of mulch in autumn or grow in a container that can be moved to a sheltered, frost-free area.
