It produces the familiar clusters of small, purple flowers on branched, wiry stems, but only reaches around half the height of the species. This makes it particularly well-suited to smaller gardens, balcony containers, and the front of borders. Its long flowering period and bee-friendly blooms make it a valuable addition to wildlife gardens.

    Planting guide

    Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Space 25–35cm apart to allow airflow. Ideal for gravel gardens, cottage borders, and patio pots.
