Planting guide
Plant in spring or autumn with the crown 5–8cm below soil level. Ensure roots are shaded and supported by a trellis or frame. Works well in pots with regular watering and feeding.
Care tips
Water consistently in dry weather, especially in containers. Feed monthly with a high-potash feed during flowering. Remove faded blooms to encourage more.
Winter care
Prune lightly in early spring to shape and encourage growth (Group 2). Mulch around the base and protect container-grown plants from extreme cold.
