Why we like this plant
Narcissi 'Martinette' has a sunny disposition and a soft, sweet fragrance that makes it particularly charming. Its clusters of small flowers are neatly held above slender stems, and the pairing of golden yellow and tangerine brings a dash of warmth to the spring garden. It works beautifully planted among other mid-season narcissi or beneath flowering shrubs, where its scent and colour bring fresh life to the scene.
Planting guide
Plant bulbs in early autumn, 10 to 15 cm deep and 10 cm apart, in well-drained soil with full sun or partial shade.
Care tips
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to help the bulb store energy for next year. Deadhead spent blooms to maintain tidiness and encourage vigour. In time, small clumps may form and can be lifted and divided if flowering becomes sparse.
