Planting guide
Plant in spring in well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Space plants adequately for airflow and position where they can bask in full sun. Water well after planting and apply a balanced fertiliser during the growing season.
Care tips
Water regularly in the growing season and feed monthly with a high-potassium fertiliser. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage further flowering. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
Winter care
In colder regions, protect the crown with mulch or bring containers into a sheltered, frost-free area. Avoid waterlogging during winter.
