Why we like this plant
Iris Reticulata 'Pixie' may be small in stature, but it delivers a welcome flash of colour just when it is most needed. Its vivid purple blooms have a velvety texture and are set off by a bright golden splash on the falls, making them especially eye-catching. Planted in groups, they create a cheerful display near paths or doorways where their early appearance and fine details can be fully appreciated.
Planting guide
Plant bulbs in autumn, 8 to 10 cm deep and 6 to 8 cm apart, in well-drained soil with full sun.
Care tips
Allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering to nourish the bulb. In containers, keep reasonably dry over summer and replant as needed in autumn.
