Planting guide

Plant corms in spring once the soil has warmed, around 7–10cm deep in well-drained soil. Water well during establishment and space plants to allow clumps to expand.

Deadhead spent flowers to keep borders tidy and divide congested clumps every few years to maintain vigour.

Generally hardy in the UK. In colder areas or exposed sites, apply a dry mulch of bark or straw in late autumn to protect the corms.
