Plant in spring or autumn in well-prepared soil. Space plants 30–45cm apart to allow for spread. Water well until established.

Care tips

Shear back after flowering to tidy and encourage fresh growth. Divide every few years to rejuvenate and maintain vigour.

Winter care

Cut back any tired foliage in late winter or early spring to make way for new growth. Mulch lightly in colder regions.
