Why we like this plant
Tulip 'Parrot Prince' brings a noble intensity to the spring garden. Its sultry purple tones shift with the light, while the lightly ruffled, curved petals lend just the right amount of drama. Unlike some of the larger parrot tulips, this variety is more restrained in size, making it particularly well suited to pots or smaller planting pockets where detail can be admired up close. It pairs beautifully with dusky pinks, silver foliage, or even soft yellows for contrast, and adds a rich note to cut flower displays.
Planting guide
Plant in autumn, 15 cm deep and 10 to 12 cm apart, in fertile, free-draining soil in full sun.
Care tips
Deadhead after flowering and allow foliage to die back naturally. In well-drained soils, 'Parrot Prince' may return in following years. Lift bulbs if summer conditions are damp or if replanting is needed for display planning.
