    • Why we like this plant

Tulip 'Slawa' is a true connoisseur’s tulip, admired for its unusual colour contrast and velvety texture. The blooms open with a coppery flush that deepens into dark wine-red, edged in warm flame. As the light changes throughout the day, so too does its appearance, offering a dynamic show in borders or containers. It pairs beautifully with orange, cream, or dusky purple tulips, and adds depth to floral arrangements. A cultivar of distinction, it brings a sense of drama and richness without overpowering the planting.

    Planting guide

Plant in autumn, 15 cm deep and 10 to 12 cm apart, in fertile, well-drained soil with full sun.

    Care tips

Deadhead once blooms have faded, but allow the foliage to yellow and die back naturally. In free-draining soils, 'Slawa' may return for several years. Lift and store bulbs in early summer if replanting or if soil is heavy.
