Why we like this plant
Bluebells are beloved for their enchanting presence and evocative scent, which together summon memories of ancient woodlands and tranquil walks beneath dappled shade. Their natural charm and ability to form sweeping drifts make them a favourite for woodland gardens and shaded borders. Bluebells pair beautifully with primroses, wild garlic, and other early spring bulbs, creating a carpet of colour and fragrance that delights the senses and lifts the spirit.
Planting guide
Plant bulbs in autumn, 10 to 12 cm deep and 10 to 15 cm apart, in moist, well-drained soil with partial to full shade.
Care tips
Allow foliage to die back naturally to nourish the bulbs. Keep soil moist but avoid waterlogging. Bluebells thrive when left undisturbed, forming graceful colonies over time.
