Why we like this plant
Eranthis 'Cilicica' is cherished for its sunny disposition and early arrival, often flowering while snow still lingers. Its bright, cheerful flowers bring warmth and hope to the garden’s quietest months. The delicate foliage adds a soft texture beneath the blossoms, making it a favourite for spreading through grassy banks or under shrubs. Historically admired for its resilience and charm, this variety offers a welcome dash of golden colour before most other plants awaken.
Planting guide
Plant tubers in autumn, 5 cm deep and 7 to 10 cm apart, in moist but well-drained soil, preferably in partial shade.
Care tips
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to nourish the tubers. Avoid waterlogging, especially during dormancy. Once established, it will gently expand to brighten the garden year after year.
