Why we like this plant
Tulip 'Alison Bradley' is a wonderfully dramatic choice, combining the depth of a vintage wine with the lush form of a peony. Its densely layered petals unfurl slowly, revealing a plush texture and gentle ruffles that add richness to any planting. This variety lends itself especially well to close-up enjoyment, whether in containers near a doorway or as a feature in a cutting garden. Its colour pairs beautifully with dusky pinks, pale lilacs, and soft creams, offering contrast and harmony in equal measure.
Planting guide
Plant in autumn, 15 cm deep and 10 cm apart, in fertile, free-draining soil with full sun or light shade.
Care tips
Remove spent flowers quickly and allow leaves to die back naturally. 'Alison Bradley' prefers a well-drained site and may be lifted in summer if conditions are wet. Store bulbs in a cool, dry place and replant in autumn.
