Why we like this plant
Tulip 'Brisbane' is delightfully flamboyant, yet retains an air of refinement with its intricate fringed petals and shifting tones. As the blooms open, layers of soft coral and peach unfurl, revealing creamy inner petals edged with lace-like fringe. This tulip is particularly suited to smaller spaces where its detailed form can be appreciated up close. In containers, it mingles beautifully with trailing violas or dusty miller, while in beds it lends a playful elegance that complements both pastel and bolder schemes.
Planting guide
Plant bulbs in autumn, 15 cm deep and 10 to 12 cm apart, in fertile, well-drained soil with good sun exposure.
Care tips
Remove spent flowers to preserve bulb strength and let foliage die back naturally. Lift bulbs in early summer if drainage is poor, and store in a dry, airy place for replanting in autumn.
