Planting guide
Plant in spring or autumn in well-drained soil. Position in full sun or light partial shade for the best foliage colour. Avoid heavy waterlogged ground, especially in winter.
Care tips
Comb through older foliage in spring to remove dead leaves and refresh the plant. Water container-grown specimens regularly during dry spells.
Winter care
Very low maintenance in winter. Leave foliage in place for seasonal colour and trim away damaged leaves in early spring if needed. Ensure good drainage to prevent winter wet damage.
