Planting guide

Plant in spring or autumn in moist but well-drained soil. Position in full sun for the richest foliage colour, although it will tolerate partial shade. Water well during establishment and mulch annually.

Care tips

Prune lightly each year to keep plants tidy and encourage vigorous new growth. Remove older stems at the base if plants become congested. Water during prolonged dry spells in summer.

Winter care

Fully hardy and low maintenance through winter. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and encourage fresh colourful growth. Mulch around the base in colder areas.
