Why we like this plant
Crocus 'Grand Maitre' enchants with its sumptuous, velvety petals and elegant form. This variety stands out in mixed plantings or as a solitary showstopper, offering a jewel-like brilliance against the fresh greenery of spring. Its rich colour pairs wonderfully with soft whites and yellows, creating striking contrasts that delight the eye.
Planting guide
Plant corms in autumn, 7 to 10 cm deep and 5 to 7 cm apart, in well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade.
Care tips
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to replenish the corm’s energy. Lift and divide every few years to maintain vigour and prevent overcrowding.
