Planting guide

Plant in spring or autumn into well-drained soil. Choose a sunny position and water well while it establishes. Space plants to allow airflow and trim back after the first flush of flowers to encourage repeat blooming.

Care tips

Grow in full sun and well-drained soil. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Avoid heavy, wet winter soils, as the crown can suffer in prolonged damp conditions.

Winter care

Cut back faded stems in late autumn or leave seed heads for structure, then tidy in early spring. In colder or exposed sites, protect the crown with a light mulch.
