About this plant
Rose-pink flat blooms on a neat, compact plant
-
Description
Achillea millefolium 'Milly Rock Rose' is a compact, mound-forming yarrow bred for its neat habit and flattened heads of rose-pink flowers. The blooms appear from early summer and soften to pale pink as they age, held on short, branching stems above finely cut, aromatic grey-green foliage. Its low, tidy form suits the front of a sunny border or a container, and the nectar-rich flowers draw in bees and butterflies.

Planting guide
Plant in spring or autumn into well-drained soil in full sun. Achillea dislike heavy, wet ground, so improve drainage on clay soils with grit before planting. Water well while establishing, then only during dry spells. Space plants around 30cm apart for good air circulation.
Care tips
Water during dry spells in the first growing season, after which the plant is drought-tolerant. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to prolong flowering and keep the plant compact. Lift and divide clumps every few years in spring or autumn to maintain vigour.
