Why we like this plant
Allium 'Mount Everest' is admired for its clean, sculptural beauty and commanding presence in the border. The pure white blooms provide a cooling contrast to bolder colours and work especially well with silver foliage, pale roses, and soft ornamental grasses. Despite its refined appearance, it is easy to grow and combines well with other early summer perennials. Its seedheads also add interest well into autumn, giving the plant enduring appeal long after its flowers have faded.
Planting guide
Plant bulbs in autumn, 15 cm deep and 20 cm apart, in well-drained soil and full sun. Best planted in groups for visual impact.
Care tips
Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Once established, bulbs can remain undisturbed for many years. Deadhead if desired, or leave seedheads to provide architectural interest.
