Coprosma 'Eclipse'

Coprosma 'Eclipse' is a compact evergreen shrub grown for its small, glossy leaves in very dark purple-brown, each edged in bright pink. The leaves are so shiny they reflect the light, which gives the plant its common name of mirror plant, and the colours deepen further in cooler weather. It copes well with wind and salt air, and its neat, upright shape makes it a good choice for pots and small gardens.

'Eclipse' gives strong colour all year without relying on flowers. The glossy leaves catch the light well in a pot by the door, and it stays neat with very little attention. The colour gets richer as the weather cools, just when most patio plants are fading.
