Description
Heuchera 'Lime Marmalade' is grown for its heavily ruffled, luminous lime-green foliage, which keeps its bright colour right through the growing season and lifts shady corners like little else. In summer, slender stems carry sprays of small creamy-white bell flowers above the mounded leaves. It is a vigorous, reliable variety that works brilliantly in containers, at the front of borders and as weed-smothering ground cover.

Help it thrive
Planting guide
Plant in fertile, moist but well-drained soil enriched with compost, in partial shade or sun. Avoid spots that sit wet in winter or bake bone dry in summer. Set the crown at soil level and water in well.
Care tips
Remove faded flower stems and any scruffy leaves to keep plants looking fresh. Mulch with compost in spring. Lift and divide clumps every three to four years if the centre becomes woody.
Winter care
Fully hardy. Leave the evergreen foliage in place over winter, then tidy the plant in spring by removing any tired or damaged leaves. Check plants in autumn and firm in any that have lifted, as heucheras can heave out of the ground in frosty spells.
