  • Why we like this plant

Tulip 'Salmon Van Eijk' blends elegance with warmth, its generous blooms glowing with a gentle, sunrise palette. The colouring deepens slightly as it matures, adding subtle interest across the flowering period. Its strong, upright growth and sturdy petals withstand spring breezes with ease, making it a reliable choice for exposed beds or large drifts. It pairs beautifully with soft whites, dusky purples, or silvery foliage, and brings a welcoming softness to more structured planting schemes.

Planting guide

Plant in autumn, 15 cm deep and 12 cm apart, in well-drained, fertile soil with full sun.

Care tips

Deadhead as flowers fade and allow leaves to die back naturally. In favourable conditions, Darwin Hybrids like 'Salmon Van Eijk' may return for several years. Lift bulbs if soil is heavy or poorly drained.
