Planting & care

Planting guide
Plant in spring or autumn with the crown just below soil level. Use a container with good drainage or place near a low obelisk, arch or wall. Shade the base with mulch or companion plants.
Care tips
Feed monthly with a high-potash fertiliser during flowering. Water regularly, especially in pots, and remove spent blooms to encourage repeat flowering.
Winter care
Prune lightly in early spring (Group 2), removing weak stems and trimming to healthy buds. Apply mulch around the base to insulate roots.
